Makes 8 servings

  • 1 tbsp - Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 tsp - Inulin
  • 1 - Egg
  • 2 - Egg White, separated from yolk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp - Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp - Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 cup - Almond Flour
  • 1/4 cup - Unflavoured Protein Powder
  • 1/3 cup - Flaxseed meal
  • 2 1/2 tsp - Xanthan Gum
  • 2 tsp - Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Salt
  • 1/2 cup - Lukewarm Water


  • 1 - Egg White, separated from yolk
  • to taste - Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • 8 tbsp - Cream Cheese

Here are the directions to make Low Carb Bagel...


  1. In a bowl, add active dry yeast and inulin together.
  2. Mix well and add lukewarm water.
  3. Whisk well again and cover with a kitchen towel. Allow the mixture to rest for 7 minutes.
  4. Add egg, egg whites, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar.
  5. Whisk until frothy and set aside.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine almond flour, flaxseed, xanthan gum, baking powder and salt together.
  7. Gradually add dry ingredients into yeast mixture until well incorporated.
  8. Grease clean hands with cooking oil to prevent the dough from sticking.
  9. Knead dough until completely smooth.
  10. Shape dough into a ball and place on a lined baking tray with parchment paper.
  11. Working with your hands, shape ball into a bagel and cover with a kitchen towel.
  12. Let the bagels sit for 40 minutes.
  13. Brush bagel with egg white and sprinkle with bagel seasoning.
  14. Bake for 25 minutes.
  15. Allow bagels to cool at room temperature.
  16. Slice and smear with cream cheese.
